4H Ambassador at 4H University of Tennessee from year 2017 to 2023

As the youth Ambassador at 4H of University of Tennessee, I serve my community by organizing and spreading awareness about 4H. I meet with other 4 H youth ambassadors each month and plan various events to bring the Middle Tennessee Community closer together. As a 4 H ambassador, I am committed to inspiring and empowering others through public service. I plan to actively engage in various initiatives and activities to help spread awareness and appreciation of the 4 H program and all the great programs they offer for a very reasonable cost. Most 4H teachers volunteer their time to help young boys and girls have the right exposure and experience. I am involved in community service projects, public speaking engagements, and educational workshops to promote the importance of the 4 H, its mission and values. I will also be responsible for acting as a mentor and role model to younger members of the 4 H community.

My involvement with 4-H has been in existence since 2017; I have been actively participating in many activities with 4-H in different disciplines. In recent years, I have participated and volunteered in international events, open house events, leadership workshops, public speaking workshops, buddy programs, trunk or treat programs, county fairs, holiday light shows, and robotics camps. My “Breaking Surf” engineering project and college-level paper won the “State Winner” title in Engineering and Safety Science at the Tennessee 4-H Roundup held at the University of Tennessee, Martin in July 2022. I have been spreading the word about various 4H events, and have impacted many families along the way

Through my time as a 4 H ambassador, I have learned the importance of collaboration and communication. Working with other youth ambassadors has taught me how to effectively coordinate events and campaigns to spread awareness about the program. I have also gained insight into how to effectively reach and engage with the community. Moreover, I have gained skills in public speaking, event planning, working with adults in the community organizing, and youth advocacy – which I plan to use to continue to promote at the 4 H mission. 4H has helped me understand that being a good citizen requires participating in activities that serve the ‘greater good’ and made me aware of my civic and social responsibilities.
